ALA President Sari Feldman working with the DC Library Association launched ALA's new public awareness campaign, Libraries Transform, in Washington, DC, on October 29. The goal of the campaign is to increase public awareness of the transformation occurring in libraries, the role that libraries play in transforming communities and individual lives, and to ultimately increase support for libraries of all types. Libraries around the country are being asked to participate in this multi-year campaign. It is being promoted to the ALA membership via emails, videos and a website presence.
