We’ve been struggling with the issue of parents bringing in finger foods for their children to eat while at the library. We are a strict “no food” library as the layout of our building makes it impossible for us to set aside an area where food can be eaten. While we sympathize with moms trying to feed their kids, kids are not usually known to be very clean about their eating habits. Sometimes we look the other way, other times not so much.
We are wondering how other libraries with “no food” rules handle this situation?
Any feedback would be welcome.
