Hi all,
Whether it’s asked for as literary criticism or literary analysis, students need to find authoritative resources to support their research on assigned reading authors and specific works. Various
MeL databases provide just such content.
Research in Context may contain what they’re looking
for. Within the Literature Category find information on book titles and authors as well as plot structure, characterization, setting, etc.
Search results can include references for plot summary, critical reception and themes and construction, and critical essays.
Gale Virtual Reference Library contains Literary Themes for Students volumes, Concise Major 21st Century Writers,
and Shakespeare for Students, which can be searched individually or as a collection. The
eBook and
eBook K-8 Collections contain Cliffs Notes and other literary criticism resources too.
Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.
