I am pleased to announce that Andrea Vernola has joined the Library Development Team at the Library of Michigan as the new Continuing Education Coordinator.

 

Andrea has served in Michigan and Illinois public libraries of all sizes for over 20 years. She was most recently the Branch Manager for the Oshtemo Branch of the Kalamazoo Public Library after many years at KPL leading children’s programming and teen services. Andrea’s experience includes programming and collections for babies through adults, community engagement and outreach, leadership and management, strategy and evaluation, organizational learning, and staff development. Andrea is also an experienced event coordinator, training facilitator, and lifelong learner. She will be working on updates to LM’s staff certification trainings as well as coordinating webinars and in-person learning opportunities.
