The Library of Michigan purchased public libraries in Michigan online access to the
2021 Collaborative Summer Library “Tails and Tales” Programming Manual. This manual contains all the programming resources, graphics, and book lists for the upcoming summer. As we only purchase 1 access code to the manual per library, please contact
Cathy Lancaster at
LancasterC5@Michigan.gov from an official work email if your director did not receive your code for 2021 (sent last September). CSLP’s Organizational Coordinator Luke Kralik has made 3 short video tutorials on how to easily access the 2021 online manual
and art files for #TailsandTales:
https://www.cslpreads.org/2021-tutorials/. Make sure you get the art files to your PR department, too.
Reminder: the CSLP 2021
online shop is open, with a very prompt fulfillment time! In addition to adding a new
CSLP Facebook group, CSLP is now also on
Instagram! Check out CSLP’s living social media toolkit, too:
https://bit.ly/CSLP_Toolkit21. Be sure to like & follow @CSLPreads on social media platforms and Pinterest; please use #TailsandTales throughout this summer when posting from your library accounts. Finally, CSLP’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee recently
hosted a webinar on Accessibility which you can view here:

ALSC’s Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee is planning a project focusing on trauma in relation to library services for families with young children birth to 6 or families who are expecting. Please
complete our survey to help inform the structure of the project.
