Greetings!
The MeL Team has been hard at work refreshing a couple of areas on the
MeL.org website. Thank you very much to those who helped us by participating in interviews and user testing. We appreciate your time and feedback, which helped us create what we hope you’ll find is an improved user experience.
You’ll notice right away that we gave our home page a facelift with new images and the addition of testimonials. The second area is the
eResources landing page, which has been through significant changes and is now more intuitive to navigate.
Specifically in the eResources area, you will notice the following:
- Organization by audience so it’s easier to find what you need. We identified a collection of eResources that specifically support public libraries and your communities.
- An alphabet located below the audience tiles will help you navigate right to the specific eResource you need.
- The
Public Libraries area is organized by audience and subject. Easily find eResources for K-5 students, teens, and adults. Popular subjects have been used to organize eResources for adults.
- The
Career, College, Job, and Military: Test Prep area in Public Libraries is organized to provide an additional access point to LearningExpress and improved findability for resources in each of these areas.
- Each subject page includes an alphabet for easy navigation. Check out the
Early Literacy page to see an example.
- “Best Bets” are identified to make it easier to decide which eResource to use.
You should not need to update any links that you may be using on your own websites, whether they be to individual eResources or to specific pages on MeL.org.
