To celebrate 50 years of ALA accreditation, the Wayne State University School of Library and Information Science is seeking the nominations of 50 Shining Stars. If you know a WSU SLIS alumnus who deserves to be recognized for outstanding professional accomplishments, nominate them for consideration as a SLIS Shining Star.

Nominations will be reviewed by SLIS faculty and staff. Final selections for SLIS Shining Stars will be announced the week of September 4, 2017. Those selected will be profiled in a digital album celebrating the school's history and receive a small gift to commemorate the honor.

Self-nomination is encouraged and nominations of multiple alumni will be accepted. Nominations close on Friday, August 18.
