The State has a great site: https://www.michigan.gov/miready/be-informed/active-shooter which I used to develop our procedures.

Hi JC,

Our recently updated Emergency Procedures Manual is attached, which covers active shooter and lockdown scenarios.

Good luck,

Jessica

Hi all, I would love to hear what your procedure is for an active shooter. We are a very small town and currently don't even have one in place. I am also wondering if your library has any procedures or protocol for if/when your local school district goes on lockdown for any reason? The elementary/high school school is directly across the road from our building, so we are in close proximity.
