The Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative Board of Trustees invites you to apply for the position of Cooperative Director. MMLC is one of eleven cooperatives in Michigan and its members - including 20 public library systems, 5 academic libraries, and 2 special libraries - are located in 10 counties in Michigan. Based in the historic Mott Foundation Building in vibrant Downtown Flint, Michigan, MMLC provides services for members as outlined in the organization's Plan of Service and Strategic Plan. Within that structure, the annual work plan is written to provide members with opportunities to experiment, learn, and grow through new ideas and initiatives. Responsibilities: The Director position requires excellent communication skills, a broad understanding of all types of libraries, extensive experience in management, demonstrated ability to advise and lead, a will to serve others, and a creative nature that welcomes innovation. Compensation: Starting salary range: $85,000 - $90,000, with placement dependent on experience and qualifications; includes a highly competitive benefits package. Start date is October 1, 2019.
