Jackson District Library is looking for a Local History Librarian with a passion for preserving and sharing local history! As a member of the Community Engagement
team, this person will have the opportunity to connect with individuals and organizations outside of the library, including Jackson County’s many museums, historical societies, and genealogical societies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with archival
and digitization practices as well as programming and public speaking.
In conversations with patrons and coworkers the Librarian II is expected to be JDL’s biggest advocate. We are seeking someone that uses customer service talents to
build relationships with patrons and the community. Someone that has taken the initiative, and used good time management skills to support their coworkers. Someone with problem solving aptitudes and the ability to take direction and lead with optimism.
