Hello!
E-Rate Reminder - Deadline to file comments is October 13, 2026
The FCC issued a proposal on June 25, 2026, raising concerns about the future of the E‑Rate program, which supports broadband and Wi-Fi access for public libraries and schools. Potential reductions or elimination of E‑Rate funding could force libraries to choose
between sustaining internet access and maintaining other essential services.
Public comments are requested. All submissions are reviewed by FCC staff and inform final rulemaking.
