Job opening:
Instruction and Reference Part-Time Librarian
Oakland University Libraries seek a part-time librarian to provide information literacy instruction and reference services. Instruction-related duties include one-shot instruction sessions for WRT 160, a freshman composition course. Reference-related duties include staffing the research help desk and providing one-on-one research consultations. Part-time librarians also assist with special projects as assigned.
Hours: about 15 hours per week, including evenings and/or weekends
Salary: $22.50 per hour
Start date: September 1, 2017
The job candidate must have an ALA-accredited MLS and strong orientation towards instruction and reference services. Experience in teaching and reference in an academic library is preferred.
