The MCLS Annual Meeting will be held
next week, October 3, in Battle Creek. The keynote will be from former
ALA president Maureen Sullivan. Library leaders from Michigan and Indiana
will share how they are engaging and transforming their communities.
The afternoon session will be an unconference
with topics chosen by the participants. Subjects already being voted on
include:
- Partnering for Information Literacy
- What is the next big idea?
- Librarians' Role in Open Educational
Resources
- Help school libraries survive
- What do libraries want to accomplish?
- Successful Collaborations and Partnerships
- New Movers and Shakers
