Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm excited to announce the Main Branch of the Detroit Public Library will be hosting two acclaimed horror writers on Saturday, June 3rd! Jumata Emill is a journalist from Louisiana who recently penned the YA horror novel The Black Queen. Dr. Robin R. Means Coleman is a tenured professor at Northwestern University known for her non-fiction works Horror Noire and The Black Guy Dies First, among others.

1 pm: Join Jumata in conversation with Nancy Kaffer from The Detroit Free Press in the Media Room.
3 pm: Dr. Coleman will give a presentation based on The Black Guy Dies First in the Galleria.

Both events will be simulcast on Zoom. For those who attend in person, Detroit's own Source Booksellers will have books by both authors for sale!
