The Livonia Public Library is now hiring for two part-time Librarian I positions, and we’re excited to welcome new talent to our team!

We are currently accepting applications for:

Librarian I – Adult Services
Librarian I – Children’s Services

These are excellent opportunities for early-career professionals or current MLIS students to work in a supportive and innovative public library system. Both positions will contribute to high-impact programming, reference and readers’ advisory, and collection development—while also providing outreach services and support at our Bennett Civic Center and Carl Sandburg branch locations.

Position Details:

Part-time (minimum 20 hours/week)
Starting at $27.24/hour, with step increases
Application deadline: July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST
Work evenings and weekends required
Must hold an ALA-accredited MLIS or have completed at least 18 credit hours toward one (degree completion required within 18 months of hire)
