The Branch District Library is looking for a Floating Public Service Clerk:

Job Description

Public Services Clerks have a broad range of duties and responsibilities. Their primary responsibility is to provide service to the public required at the Public Services Desk; incumbent will be based at the Coldwater Branch but will be available to work in a different branch. In addition, after a suitable training period has been completed, each clerk may be assigned one or more specific specialized jobs for which the employee will be responsible.

 Education, Experience, and Training

Required:

    High school diploma or GED certificate.

    Good communication skills in person, online, and on the telephone.

    Knowledge of computers to include high degree of comfort using different programs.

Preferred:

    Prior experience in a library setting.

    Associate or Bachelor’s degree.

Hours Required

This is a part time position for 21 hours per week. The work schedule includes some nights and weekends.

Benefits

Sick time accrued after a 90-day probationary period. Vacation time accrued after 1,820 hours of employment has been reached.

Compensation

Wage range is $10.91-$13.95, depending on qualifications and experience.
