Each year, Capital Area District Libraries’ Board recognizes staff members who have demonstrated an exceptional ability to provide customer service, or who have developed an innovative approach to improve library services and operations. Customer service includes both public service to patrons and support service to staff.

This year, we're excited to announce that Lindsay Anderson, Youth Services Librarian for our Mason branch earned the 2021 Dr. L. Robert McConnell Staff Award for Innovation. While Courtney Tang, CADL’s Digital Services Specialist was honored with the 2021 Dr. L. Robert McConnell Staff Award for Customer Service.

The award is named in honor of CADL’s first board chair, Dr. L. Robert McConnell.
