We are currently looking for a Community Services and Reference Manager to lead our promotional and programming efforts. Oak Park is a wonderfully diverse community of 29,000 residents located on the southern border of Oakland County. In 2024, the Library underwent a total re-design, added a self-help legal center, and now has a large-scale exterior mural. It is an especially exciting time to join the Oak Part team, as the entire City complex surrounding the library will be completely transformed over the next three years. Oakland County has agreed to invest 6 million dollars in upgrades to Shepherd Park (located directly behind library), the City will be adding a bandshell and a four-seasons farmers market right next to the library, and there will be an 80,000 square foot recreation center with an indoor pool and walking track built behind the library. This position pays $50,000 - $55,000 annually and includes a comprehensive package consisting of healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, PTO, and section 125 plan.
