Major Duties - Creates, edits and verifies metadata related to objects in the digital collections using assigned standards and industry resources. - Manages and coordinates the process of implementing metadata, including project management. Collaborates with library staff to apply appropriate metadata schemas and standards. Provides quality control for digital object metadata. - Verifies and edits online catalog records in the integrated library system in compliance with established cataloging rules and standards. - Develops and maintains knowledge of current cataloging rules and changes, metadata schemas and standards and technical requirements of online systems.
