Good morning.
Below we are sharing the summary snap shot of the information
gathered at the event. The Social Capital Initiative group is
using these results to creatively and collectively move forward.
A majority of evaluations identified that professional networking
was a priority in the efforts to connect the people they serve
with resources.
The next step in our efforts to expand social connections
throughout the Metro region will take place on October 20, 2015
at MORC Clinton Twp.
(Flyer attached)
It is exciting that we will continue to network to:
- expand social connections,
- find solutions to overcome the barriers that inhibit
community engagement,
- disseminate information of opportunities for engagement
and belonging, and
- champion opportunities for people to develop
inter-dependence, accomplishment, positive roles and
positive relationships.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Social Capital
Initiative Event!
Warmly,
The Social Capital Initiative Group
"Social capital is about the value of
social networks, bonding similar people and bridging between
diverse people, with norms of reciprocity.” (Adler and Kwon
2002)
