Job Title: Reference Librarianpart time Hours: 20 hours per week; some Saturdays and evenings required. Duties include: -Reports to the Information Services Librarian. -Trouble shoots computer issues as needed. -Provides reference services in a timely, sensitive, and confidential manner with excellent customer service skills. -Catalogs materials according to R.D.A., LCSH, and DDC standards. -Responsible for collection development in assigned section(s). -Stays abreast on the latest technologies. -Act as Librarian-in-Charge on weekends and evenings, or as needed. -Assists patrons with computers as needed -Cover the adult reference desk during assigned hours. -Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: -Excellent customer service skills. -M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. degree from an A.L.A. accredited institution. This job requires: -Sitting for long periods of time. -Pushing book carts and lifting up to 25 lbs. of library materials -Retrieving materials from high or low shelves. -Sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
