Just wanted to send out a reminder that the
Library of Michigan and
Michigan Center for the Book are accepting nominations for the
2021 Michigan Author Award. Established in 1992, the award recognizes an outstanding published body of literary work by an author who is either from Michigan or has substantial ties to Michigan. Over the years the award has been given to a diverse collection
of writers working in a variety of genres and styles. A list of previous winners can be found on the
Michigan Author Award section of our website.
Anyone is eligible to submit a nomination. The author must meet the following qualifications to be considered eligible for the award:
Nominations may be submitted by going to
www.Michigan.gov/LibraryofMichigan or directly to our
online submission form. All nominations for the 2021 Michigan Author Award are due by
May 31, 2021. The winner will be announced in the Fall of 2021. For those with additional questions, please contact us at
