Delta Township District Library circulates several cooking and food items that are very popular. The Instant Pot, air fryer, pasta making set are probably our top three circulating food items. We also have cake pans, cookie cutters, and a cake decorating set that all very popular. More recently, we added a knife sharpener, shaved ice machine and a cotton candy maker and a stand mixer (Beautiful brand).

We include cleaning instructions and brushes with items that are more difficult to clean (like the Instant Pot). We do not have problems with items being returned soiled very often. When we do, I charge a cleaning fee based on how much time it takes me to get the item clean, safe, and ready for circulation again, usually somewhere between five and twenty dollars. The cleaning fee is covered in our circulation policy.
