As recipients of the 2014 Will Eisner Graphic Novel Growth Grant, YDL is launching an expanded collection of graphic novels that deal with health issues, plus a special event to introduce this fascinating topic. We hope you’ll join us on Thursday!

The Ypsilanti District Library will be hosting a special kickoff event on October 30 featuring "Comic Nurse" MK Czerwiec. She will discuss the surprising ways that Graphic Novels are being used in health care to help patients and caregivers get in touch with the emotional side of illness, treatment, and recovery. This event will be directed at health professionals and comic lovers alike, and is presented in partnership with St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

You can register for the event on St. Joe's website
