We have a wonderful binder of Preservation Briefs put out by the U.S. Dept. of Interior.  There are 40 preservation briefs on an array of subjects relating to historical preservation of buildings.  The manual also contains several National Register Bulletins containing technical information on comprehensive planning, survey of cultural resources, and registration in the National Register of Historic Places.  I hate to pitch it because it is full of great information.  We can send it via RIDES to any library that would like to claim it.

Hi all,

Just a quick note about some tools our MeL database vendor ProQuest makes available to support libraries/schools and use of databases.  Under Tools & Resources you’ll find over 15 resource types to print, customize, and use locally.  Sort by resource type and library type to find bookmarks, flyers, brochures, commercial scripts, user guides, and LibGuides. (note: databases not offered in the suite of MeL resources are included).  As an example, included in the commercial scripts group are 2 short pre-recorded commercials to download as SWF files and a word document that offers sample tweets, posts, and blogs to promote your library. Enjoy.
