Hi everyone!

I wanted to pass along a program recommendation after hosting Understanding Typical vs. Not Typical Aging at Bellaire Public Library. We had a positive experience with Debbie Smith and Accelerate The Care, and I thought other libraries might be interested in offering this program to their communities.

The workshop explored the differences between typical aging and dementia, how dementia can affect behavior, and ways to better understand and support individuals living with dementia. The hands-on approach made the information accessible and gave participants a helpful perspective they can carry into their everyday lives.

I would highly recommend this program to other libraries and community organizations looking to offer meaningful education and support around dementia and caregiving. Debbie was knowledgeable, approachable, and a wonderful resource for our community.
