Don’t miss out on MLA’s April 22 Community Collaborations workshop, a valuable professional development opportunity. Libraries play a large role in outreach and connecting people to valuable resources. The National Network of Libraries of Medicine’s Greater Midwest Region Consumer Health Coordinator Samanthi Hewakapuge will be the featured speaker for the workshop. Hewakapuge coordinates the consumer health program in the Greater Midwest Region including training librarians to provide consumer health information services. Other speakers will include library professionals sharing overviews of successful community collaborations at their libraries. Learn how to build on your library’s platform by analyzing community resources, finding the best contacts and proposing partnerships that strengthen relationships and better support everyone’s need for information, services and insights.
