Lorry--I haven't used the StoryCorps <https://storycorps.org/> app yet in my new role as a teen librarian, but I had some success with it when I taught high school English and did a unit that required an interview. The website and app are both relatively easy to follow, and they even give advice about how to do interviews. Oral history is someone retelling personal life stories, sometimes talking about important parts of history they lived through. What they talk about is completely up to them. Some will follow a question and answer format, while others simply talk about whatever is on their minds.
We offer audio or video recording, and have appointments available at our library.
