Hi all,
I was wondering how many of you call a patron's home library before entering a non-resident or guest card into your system.
As part of the Library Network, the majority of
our visitors have cards already in our shared system, but there are some that
are not, including MILibrary Card holders. Do you call or contact these types
of patron's home libraries before giving them privileges? If so, do you allow patrons some limited privileges before you validated that their account is in good standing? What methods do you use to contact and keep track of these patrons?
You can answer off list and I can post the compiled responses.
Thanks!
