The Library of Michigan and the Michigan Department of Education are supporting a limited number of events throughout 2025 and 2026 for the Michigan Poet Laureate Dr. Melba Joyce Boyd to engage with audiences across the state of Michigan in schools, libraries, high-ed institutions, or other cultural organizations. If you are interested in hosting an event with the Michigan Poet Laureate, please go to www.Michigan.gov/PoetLaureate and select the link for the Tour Request Form.

The application closes on Thursday, July 31, 2025 for event requests supported by the State of Michigan. The Library of Michigan may repost the application for additional applicants during the 2026 tour year. Please direct all questions to PoetLaureate@Michigan.gov.
