Lansing Community College Library has an opening for a part-time reference and instruction librarian. Responsibilities include:

· Providing in person and virtual reference assistance

· Teaching academic research and information literacy skills

· Participating in the selection of academic resources

· Serving as library liaison for departments assigned

· Developing content for the library website, online tutorials and research guides

Qualifications (Required)

· Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from an ALA accredited program

· Minimum (1) year recent reference experience

· Experience with mobile and web technologies, social networks and digital resources

· Strong commitment to service excellence

Qualifications (Preferred)

· Library instruction experience in an academic library setting

· Familiarity with web content development

· Excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills

This is a 28 hour per week academic professional faculty position, including some evenings and weekends.
