Dear Colleagues,
The Henry Ford is pleased to kick off its Third Annual Building Stories: A Creative Writing Contest. Students in grades 3-12 from across the United States are invited to create a story that celebrates the life and times of Thomas Edison, one of America’s greatest innovators.
The Henry Ford provides foundational materials, primary sources from our collections, to set the backdrop for a creative story of historical fiction. We encourage you to introduce this contest to your library patrons. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2015. Students can win great prizes, including the publication of the grand prize winner’s story on The Henry Ford’s website, as well as 10 printed copies.
