Farrell,

The Library of  Michigan also has a short article about considerations on this as well. The article is “Bulletin Boards in Public Libraries” and is one of the items under our Trustee’s Corner. You can access it at: https://www.michigan.gov/documents/hal_lm_BulletinBoards_151069_7.pdf  You can access other articles under Trustee’s Corner at www.michigan.gov/trustee

Portage Lake has some community bulletin board policies listed on their site: http://www.uproc.lib.mi.us/newpldl/?page_id=141

Inkster has one available at: http://www.inkster.lib.mi.us/Bulletin%20Board%20Policy%20%28Adopted%203-1-12%29.pdf

Subject: [Michlib-l] Policy on public postings?

Good morning,

Do any of you have a policy on posting flyers/notices from the general public? I would like to draft and post a policy that staff can refer to when it comes to patron requests to postings, as well as have this policy on our website.

Thank you!
