Hello Trustee Alliance Friends,

The next FOML Trustee Alliance workshop is called "Connecting the Dots: Creating a Star Board of Trustees" and it's coming up on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Cascade Township Branch of the Kent District Library!

We have special guest speaker Sarah Ann Long and her topics include:

  • The Trustees Role: What is it? Are there dos and don’ts?
  • The Library Director’s Role vs. Trustee Roles
  • Evaluating the Library Director: Why It’s Necessary and a Formula for Success
  • Library Funding Issues: Reprise
  • Library Policies: What’s Needed and Not Needed (By-Laws, Library Policy and Staff Procedures)

FOML Trustee Alliance workshops are a great time to network with other Trustee groups, tour the Cascade Township Library, and spend a day learning how to support your library! Please keep in mind that this is a similar program that was presented at the Spring workshop last April at the Canton Public Library.
