Howdy!

We've been busy making some makery plans and wanted to share them with you in hopes that you'll join us!

Maker Office Hours #2: Projects Under $1

Friday, Jan. 29, noon-1pm

For many of us, low-cost projects are key to the long-term health and sustainability of making in our schools, libraries, and communities. In this edition of Maker Office Hours, we’ll share some of our favorite dollar-or-less open-ended makery projects, then open up the conversation so you can share yours! Free, no registration required. For login information, visit the Maker Office Hours page, where last month's Office Hours are archived.

Save the Date for Free, Statewide Maker Workshops This Summer!

We are delighted to have set dates for our Making in Michigan Libraries professional development for Summer 2016. We have nine hub locations and are offering a face-to-face, three-day workshop at each. So far, we've just got the dates penned, because the next step is for us to co-create a custom agenda for each community that features local makers. Workshops will be free, and SCECHs will be available at a small cost. So save the date and stay tuned!

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services RE-05-15-0021-15.

We look forward to seeing you online or face-to-face!

Best,

Kristin Fontichiaro & Mayank Khanna
