Please join us as we welcome multiple Coretta Scott King award-winning author Angela Johnson. From moving picture books that celebrate African-American families, history and relationships to stirring young adult novels, Ms. Johnson’s stories touch readers in ways that endure. Angela Johnson began her writing career with a picture book which won the Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Award in 1991 and is the recipient of the 2004 Michael L. Printz Award. In recognition of her outstanding talent, she was named a 2003 MacArthur Fellow and 2018 Margaret A Edwards recipient. All ages welcome. This program is generously sponsored by DENSO.
