Just a reminder that Michigan Libraries may apply to participate in the 2022 Michigan Notable Books Author Tour. The application form is on the Michigan Notable Books website under the “Information for Libraries” section: www.Michigan.gov/NotableBooks. Michigan libraries have until Monday, February 14, 2022 to submit their application.

Please note:

We have several downloadable/printable graphics that libraries can use for promoting the Michigan Notable Books program: https://www.michigan.gov/libraryofmichigan/0,9327,7-381-88854_90002-520507--,00.html. We have a few more that should be uploaded soon so keep checking on the page periodically. Additionally, we are now highlighting each individual MNB title on the Library of Michigan’s social media accounts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Feel free to share/retweet these posts on your own library accounts. A good strategy is to also share the post with the book’s permanent record link from your catalog record so your patrons can put the item on hold. A special shout-out goes to Newaygo Area District Library for doing that with today’s “Ancestor Approved” post! https://www.facebook.com/newaygolibrary/posts/10159668583532597

If you have any questions about the MNB program, 2022 tour or the application, feel free to email myself at OsterA@Michigan.gov or my colleague Mindy Babarskis at BabarskisM@Michigan.gov.

Funding for the 2022 Michigan Notable Books program was made possible in part by Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Thanks!

Adam
