POSITION: Coordinator, Information Technology Services – Full-time (35 hours per week). Includes on-call responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science, specializing in technology, from an ALA accredited library school; extensive experience with network administration, website administration, cyber security principles, disaster recovery, and project management; familiar with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure management, and G-suite administration; proficiency in SQL and common web design languages; extensive experience with Microsoft desktop and server products, UNIX environments, virtualization, and network architecture; excellent, verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to delegate appropriately; ability to deal effectively with the public in a tactful, courteous manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assumes supervisory responsibility for the IT department, including hiring, orientation, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, training and development of staff; plans for the optimum utilization of personnel; ensures that all staff is aware of and follows established library policies, procedures and work rules; oversees and supervises the library’s network operations (WAN, LAN, Voice, MDM) and ensures backups of critical library data; implement and maintain all aspects of information/physical security through asset management, access creation-control, network intrusion detection, and security policies; prepares, oversees and monitors the budget for the department; responsible for the oversight of replacement schedules and purchasing for the department ensuring that all established procedures are followed; responsible for the development and completion of strategic plan objectives for the department; works with IT staff and Adult and Youth Services staff to create and execute technology education classes for the public.
SALARY RANGE: $67,074 - $95,631 per year
