The Michigan Supreme Court’s history of civil rights cases is complicated. In this presentation, Joseph J. Gavin will begin to unpack some of its earliest decisions. He is the current president of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society, and has been
a licensed attorney for nearly two decades.
New this month: we will be offering the program in person at the Knapp Branch as well as on Zoom. While Zoom is probably more convenient for most, you are welcome to join us in person—possibly once the weather improves.
