Hi All,

Just wanted to give a plug for the Mid-Michigan Local History Conference (MMLHC) that is taking place at the Michigan Library and Historical Center on this coming Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 10:00AM-3:00PM: www.Michigan.gov/MMLHC.

Historians, librarians, archivists, students, and all other local history practitioners are invited to join us for a free event that includes a keynote presentation, 2-tracks of breakout sessions, and opportunities to engage with other organizations around the Mid-Michigan region. See the full schedule on the MMLHC site, including presentation descriptions and speaker bios. Direct questions to Librarian@Michigan.gov or 517-335-1477.

The Mid-Michigan Local History Conference is presented by the Archives of Michigan, Historical Society of Michigan, Ingham County Historical Commission, Library of Michigan, and Michigan State Capitol Education and History Department. Additional support provided by the Library of Michigan Foundation.

Thanks!

Adam
