Preferred Qualifications:  One to three years library experience in an academic setting.

Job Specific Required Qualifications:

•       At least one year of library experience.

• Knowledge of library science principles and practices.

• Demonstrated experience with computers and library software applications.

• Experience with automated library systems.

• Understanding and commitment to excellence in customer service.

• Previous training and development of reference and information services and collection development principles.

• Knowledge and ability to analyze and assess the usage and effectiveness of electronic resources and technologies.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

• Substantial knowledge of library organization, systems, and procedures.

• Skilled in using computer technology and software applications.

• Ability to evaluate and develop library collections, including electronic databases and e-resources.

• Ability to develop and facilitate instructional classes to include LibGuides for specific academic curriculum.

• Perform marketing and outreach programs that include collaboration and team projects with faculty, staff, and students.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to exchange and convey information and provide excellence in customer service.

• Ability to analyze and compile statistical reports on database usage and other library programs of service.

• Working knowledge of methods for designing, integrating, and improving digital services in support of library services.

• Ability to be flexible and to work independently as well as in a team environment where

• Consultation, collaboration, and cooperation are essential.
