LM Seeking YSAC Volunteers
The Library of Michigan’s Youth Services Advisory Council (YAC) is seeking volunteers to serve for a minimum of 2 years on the committee. YSAC is mainly responsible for planning and facilitating the quarterly MiYouth (virtual) meetings,
with support from the LM Youth Services Coordinator. YSAC is also called upon to provide insights on youth services trends, topics, and resources. If you are currently working in youth services and interested in volunteering, please
complete this volunteer form for consideration by January 6, 2025.
As we approach the annual Youth Media Award (YMA) announcements to be held at the 2025 LibLearnX, libraries, schools, and book discussion groups around the globe offer
Mock Election programs. They're are a wonderful opportunity for children’s literature aficionados to learn more about some of the great, recently published books for kids! If you're holding a mock election,
submit your results here before the YMA press conference on January 27,
and keep an eye on the ALSC blog for updates on mock election results.

“The thing I remember best about successful people I’ve met all through the years
is their obvious delight in what they’re doing … and it seems to have very little to do with worldly success. They just love what they’re doing, and they love it in front of others.”
~ Fred Rogers
