Hey everyone, here at Romulus after a few book sales our Friends of the Romulus Public Library put items on a cart in our vestibule that are free to take. These are the books that after a few sales just couldn't be sold. That cart is empty by the following week. People love free things. I would suggest perhaps using a "free cart." The only issue that sometimes comes up is getting them back in returns. We moved it to the vestibule because people also assumed all books near the cart were free. So I would definitely be careful if you use one. Once we relocated the cart we really haven't had many issues with it. The patrons love it as well. It also hasn't deterred book sales either. The friends have also donated used books to local daycares (children's books) and also to local shelters (all age books). Hope that helps!
