Hello Friends,
The next Friends of Michigan Libraries (FOML) workshop is called "MI Friends and MI Community: How MI Friends Promote the Library" and it's coming up on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Cascade Township Branch of the Kent District Library!
Speakers and topics include:
- Rochester Hills Public Library Director Christine Hage presenting "Being Political"
- Lance Werner, Director of the Kent District Library on "Millage Elections: Options for Friends"
- "Preparing for Millage Elections: Nuts and Bolts" presented by FOML's Trustee Alliance Representative Shirley Bruursema
- and Kris Rzepczynski, Archivist at the Archives of Michigan, speaking about "What Can the Archives of Michigan Offer You?"
FOML workshops are a great time to network with other Friends groups, tour the Cascade Township Library, and spend a day learning how to support your library!
If you'd like to also attend the Trustee Alliance workshop on Friday, September 12th, you will find that registration form here.
Remember, 2014 FOML members receive a discount. And if you want to attend BOTH workshops, you save even more. Check out our website at
www.foml.org to become a member.
I hope to see you there!
Paul Snyder, President
