The online application to host a 2026 Michigan Notable Books Author as part of the 2026 Author Tour is now live and accepting submissions. Visit www.Michigan.gov/NotableBooks to find a link to the application as well as other details related to the Michigan Notable Books program. Applications are due by Monday, February 2, 2026.

Please note: There are a few changes from previous years, including:

The Author tour has been expanded to cover April through August (in previous years, the tour dates were in April, May, and June).
Tour host locations will also have an opportunity to livestream the Night for Notables author award ceremony and keynote presentation from NYT Bestselling Author and 2-time Michigan Notable Books honoree Angeline Boulley. Night for Notables is on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
