Hi Everyone, 

Thanks again to those who checked in about the hacked email. These things do happen, and the good news is that the affected account has taken the steps to resolve the issue, and our listserv provider, MCLS, is aware of the instance.

I'll take a moment to share these recent security campaigns I have seen. They’re great resources to share with patrons and staff when talking about online safety.

TDLR:
Please be cautious with email attachments and links. If a message feels out of context, doesn’t clearly explain why an attachment is needed, or creates a sense of urgency, it’s best not to open it. These are common signs of phishing or spoofing attempts. If something ever seems off with your email, or you’re worried it may have been compromised, reach out to your IT and update your password right away.
