We don't get these calls because we use PayChex to process our payroll. You can go online through your MIWAM portal and directly report your data. Also, state agencies like the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) or workforce statistics partners collect employee counts determine unemployment insurance tax rates, enforce size-based labor laws (like the FMLA or paid medical leave), or conduct mandatory economic and health insurance surveys. I know those calls can definitely get annoying.

Does everyone in library world get a call from MIWAM, every month, asking how many employees we have? How many are women?

This has been going on for years. I do not recollect this at my past job, nor any other businesses that I have worked for.
