The Detroit Public Library celebrates the Tuskegee Airmen as part of summer reading's Every Hero Has a Story. The Tuskegee Airmen will be represented at several branches of the Detroit Public Library by Alfonso King, retired Master Sergeant. Mr. King is a member of the Macon-Thomas Chapter of West Bloomfield of the Tuskegee Airmen Inc., and heads up the chapter’s speakers’ bureau.
