Did you see the findings in the latest Pew Report, Libraries at the Crossroads? http://www.pewinternet.org/2015/09/15/libraries-at-the-crossroads/ One of the statistics provided in the report released this month was that 85% of the public wants libraries to coordinate more closely with local schools in providing resources to kids. Do you have a relationship with your local school? Are the teachers there familiar with the resources students can find in your library? Do you offer to speak to groups of teachers at in-service meetings to tell them about opportunities the public library has available to augment student learning?
