"Detroit in Crisis: The '67 Rebellion" will take place on Wednesday, July 12, at 7 p.m. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion, a five-day period of unrest that began with the raid of an after-hours club in a primarily African-American neighborhood.
